People of the Renaissance in Europe and their impact on history

Before their rights were properly recognized, the women of Europe have been shaping the continent and the globe. From founding experts to democratic rebels, we’ve rounded up a selection of inspiring Continental women who changed record.

The european union Gender Unit and the Council of europe gave lectures at the 77th Donaueschingen Seminar on the History of women in Europe in 2018. It is a part of a ongoing project to learn more about how teaching methods and content can be used to foster greater empathy with sexual historical figures. Its goal is to explore the marriage between sex and history in education.
