Asiatic Ceremony Traditions

With millennials and their youngsters embracing culture and tradition, more newlyweds than ever before are turning to the Asian region for their huge moment. Whether it’s an Indian or Korean American marriage, the ceremonies are a lovely way for families to connect with their traditions and move on spiritual traditions.

One of the most important wedding traditions is the swirling of the sacred flames, which translates to “your aspirations for success and work to your community are encircled by this fire”. This meeting is often conducted in front of the wedding and groom’s families before they take their vows.

Another popular ritual is paying admiration to the woman’s elders, which is done by the bride preparing meal for her fresh dad’s family the day after their marriage. This is a method for the bride to demonstrate her appreciation to her in- norms and to ask for their gifts.

The wife may also explore her own families for supper a few days after her bridal to congratulate them for raising her and provide them a product as a form of thanks.

In the past, when Chinese couples were engaged, the groom had to pay the bride price, which was usually in the form of money, gifts or a roasted pig. The bride’s family then wished the couple a long and prosperous marriage. Tea was also served as a betrothal gift, as it is believed that the evergreen nature of the plant signifies longevity.
