Boston (ChatterShmatter) – October, as it does every year, marks pink month, when we push to further improve breast cancer awareness.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and will be celebrated across the entire U.S. with various events that are going to be held.
These events are held in every single state in the U.S. and are aimed to do several things.
First and foremost, they are aimed at raising awareness of breast cancer among women.
The hope is that these events will educate women to go and get mammograms, teach them about preventive measures, treatment options, etc.
The other goal of these events is to try and raise money to help not only further raise awareness, but also to try and come up with better treatments for breast cancer.
Many women all around the world suffer from this terrible disease, and the more advancements that are made to fight it, the more deaths that will be prevented in the decades ahead.
Wear pink proud, it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month however.
