Many Chicago public schools will be closed for a second day due to the massive snow storm that has pounded the majority of the United States. Up to 20 inches of snow has fallen over the last 24 hours and along with the snow there have been gusting winds up to 50MPH making visibility very little.
This marks the second time since 1999 that the school district, the third in the nation has had to close doors due to weather. As for children, they are not complaining with a few days off school but their parents have been forced to find alternative arrangements for them because of their own work.
