When it comes to bringing in the new year, nobody does it better than London. More than 250,000 Londonites took to the streets to bring in the new year, and more than half a million are expected to turn out to Westminster today for the 25th addition of the New Years Day parade.
At the stroke of midnight last night, partiers were presented with a massive fireworks display to bring in the year and thousands flocked to the London Eye to take it all in. The fireworks display was set to some of the biggest hits in music of all time, including Queen’s We Will Rock You. Police were also on hand, making 77 arrests last night, the majority of which were down to public order offences.
