When it comes to hosting New Year’s Eve countdowns, nobody does it better than the legendary Dick Clark. The 81 year old brought in 2011 with a bang, planting a smooch on his beloved wife Kari Wigton.
More than a million people were expected to cram inside Times Square last night to witness the ball drop, which fittingly did so with the accompanying message: Let There Be Love. For Clark, he began hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve starting in 1972, only missing one year in 2004 after he suffered a mild stroke.
