One of the most dominant streaks of all time when it comes to sport has come to an end as the women’s basketball team from UConn has finally lost a game. The Stanford Cardinals were the ones to knock the Huskies off their purch, by the final score of 71-59.
The streak that came to a crashing thud last night saw UConn win 90 games in a row, averaging victories by at least 33 points. In Sharp contrast in last night’s game, played inside Maples Pavilion the Huskies never led and fell to the Cardinal, the same university that handed UConn their last defeat back on April sixth 2008. Get out the crying towels.
