Pennsylvania State Governor Ed Rendell is causing controversy over comments he made pertaining to the postponed Eagles Vikings game because of the blizzard that rocked Philadelphia. When he was asked what he thought of the situation, he quipped: “Vince Lombardi would be spinning in his grave.”
Not since the 1940′s has an NFL game been played on a Tuesday night, and Rendell would apparently suit up and suck it up, adding: “I think it is a joke. I was looking forward to this. It would have been a real experience. This is what football is all about. We’re becoming a nation of wussies… This is no way, shape or form a blizzard!”
