Skype users are not very pleased today as an outage has left a lot of them hanging. The internet phone and video service went down for a prolonged period of time today, resulting in users from the United States, Asia and Europe being unable to log on to make calls to loved ones.
In a Twitter post the company stated that they were currently unaware of why the site went offline and were investigating the situation to try to determine what happend. They added that at around 3:30 p.m. EST the service began to come back online but that it could take a few hours for full service to be restored.
