(ChatterShmatter) – Canadian country singer Shania Twain has just gotten engaged to Swiss businessman Frederic Thiebaud.
This is a classic example of partner swop, as back in 2008 it was Twain’s ex husband, Robert Lange who was caught having an affair with Thiebaud’s woman.
Twain and Thiebaud have reportedly been engaged for two months already but wanted time to enjoy the news themselves before going public.
“I’ve never seen Shania so happy,” a friend of the singer told Us Magazine.
“We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We’ve become stronger and closer through it all,” Twain wrote on her website in 2009. “And having gone through the suffering of his family splitting apart at the same time and under the same extreme circumstances, he understands me better than anyone.”
Lange and Twain were married for 14 years, divorcing in 2008.
