Swine flu back in parts of the UK

Just when we thought we were rid of the dreaded swine flu virus it appears that it is back as numerous cases in parts of the UK have been reported. Lancashire have reported a small cluster of cases so far this winter, and they are on red alert after another five patients diagnosed with the virus actually died from it.

The virus came to the forefront back in 2009, originating in Mexico and wasting little time sweeping across the globe. The virus was diagnosed in hundreds of thousands of people, killing thousands of them. In the US, the flu shot for this year actually contains antibodies against the swine flu virus and everybody is being urged to take the time out of their day to go and get one.
