A dangerous hostage situation is unfolding in the country of France, as a mail teenager armed with a sword has taken children captive.
The situation is unfolding at a nursery school in the eastern French city of Besancon, but not much is known about the hostage taker.
According to French radio, he is a 17 year old kid armed with multiple swords but his motive for taking the school hostage is not known.
He has reportedly released a number of the young children, but many remain trapped inside.
Police have reportedly made contact with the hostage and around mid-day they actually entered the building.
