Life Expectancy Dipping Across America

According to the CDC the life span for Americans has dropped after years of a steady increase. This slight decrease in overall life expectency was found to be present in both men and women, with men estimated to live on average 75.5 years and women, 80.3 years. There was no clear reason given for why the average life span has decreased, but according to experts the increasing rate of obesity may have something to do with it.

There was a number of key findings from the report when it came to the overall birth and death rates from various causes. Babies born in the year of 2008 are now estimated to live on average for 77.8 years, a slight decrease from the 77.9 years the year before.
