77 year old willie nelson was arrested on Friday morning and charged with pot possession.
The incident went down when Nelson’s tour bus pulled into a border patrol checkpoint in Texas and officers came on the vehicle after smelling marijuana upon opening the door.
Upon finding six ounces of marijuana onboard, Willie admitted that it was his and was taken into custody.
He spent a short time in jail before paying a $2500 bond to regain his freedom.
Nelson is a huge proponent of legalized marijuana and this is not the first time he has been busted for pot possession.
He could spend up to two years in jail for his “crime” but this is very unlikely to happen.
