The case of missing college student Jenni-Lyn Watson took a severe turn for the worse today as a body has been located in a swampy area in a local park.
An official identification has not yet been made but police believe the body to be of the 20 year old Mercyhurst College junior, and successful ballerina.
According to District Attorney William Fitzpatrick the body that was discovered was that of a white female and she was discovered in a wooded area from which a call was made from her phone a few days ago.
She went missing back on November 19 near her parents’ home in the upstate New York town of Clay, after recently calling off her engagement.
Her story has sparked national interest with people flocking to Facebook to join groups which were dedicated to finding the missing girl.
Police are in the process of tracking down Watson’s ex fiance who they believe may have something to do with her disappearance.
