Houston (ChatterShmatter) – A new study involving roughly 30,000 women has revealed that it is best to get pregnant again within 6 months following a miscarriage rather than waiting.
This new historic study was carried out by collecting data from 1981 to 2000, and was led by Dr. Sohinee Bhattacharya from Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
Miscarriages are extremely common among women, but many are concerned in regards to how long they should wait before they get pregnant again, this study puts those questions to rest.
According to the findings of this study, it is best for women to get pregnant immediately after a miscarriage.
The sooner they get pregnant, the higher the overall success rate of their next pregnancy.
Women who became pregnant within 6 months of a miscarriage had a success rate of 85%, compared to a much lower success rate for women who waited longer than 6 months.
This puts fears to rest in terms of women worrrying about time and waiting following a miscarriage.
The study, published in the British Medical Journal, has shown that the sooner you try again, the better.
