Boston (ChatterShmatter) – Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland broke box-office records with it’s debut weekend.
Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland raked in a total of $116.3 million making it the best debut to date for Mr. Burton.
It managed to beat out some fantastic films, as it topped the other films in the top 5 including Brooklyn’s Finest, Shutter Island, Cop Out, as well as Avatar.
Alice In Wonderland managed to take in a total worldwide earning of $210.3 million to date.
The film has been received well by the public as it is being shown as a premiere Disney 3-D film.
Just going by local IMAX cinemas around the area this past weekend tells the whole story, this is a big film, and one that is going to have quite a lengthy and successful run in theaters.
