Circus, which released in 2008, was a massive success for Spears, launching her return to the limelight that marked the comeback of the year.
The pop princess has just released a compilation of her greatest hits, but she is not done just yet.
Next spring appears to be the target time for the release of her next album, possible in the middle of April or early May.
She is expected to work with some big names once again, with rumors tying her to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and others.
This is expected to be followed up with another huge summer tour to tout the follow-up to Circus.
