Washington (ChatterShmatter) – The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has formed a tag team with the Chinese Health Ministry to try and topple tuberculosis (TB).
Bill Gates was in Beijing, China this week to make the big announcement that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has given a $33 million, five-year grant to help rid China of TB.
Over the past while, there have been more drug-resistant TB cases that have been appearing.
This is a troubling thing was it was not too long ago that TB was virtually eradicated.
Now the push is on to try and rid the disease for good. Bill Gates spoke in China this week, stating that the time is now and that he is excited to support China in their efforts to get rid of TB.
As part of this money coming in,k there will be a lot more activity throughout China against TB, with immediate results being seen.
