Washington (ChatterShmatter) – According to a new report, there may be more people in the U.S. with Alzheimer’s than you previously thought.
The annual report was released this week by the Alzheimer’s Association, giving a status report basically on the U.S. and Alzheimer’s disease.
The annual report revealed that there are now 5.3 million people in the U.S. living with Alzheimer’s disease.
By the year 2010, that number is expected to jump by a half million people.
What is scarier is that by 2050, they believe there will be one million new cases in the U.S. annually.
The cost of Alzheimer’s as of right now has been pegged at $150 billion annually and will likely increase in the years to come.
