It has been announced by Cablevision that they will be launching a new pancreatic cancer campaign to help bring more awareness to the disease.

They will be teaming up with the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, to launch curePC, a campaign which will feature the full media capability of the network to get the word out about pancreatic cancer.

Furthermore, Cablevision will cover the costs of all of the Lustgarten Foundation’s administrative costs pertaining to the campaign.

The campaign will run for the next 2 weeks, and will feature pancreatic cancer awareness commercials on Rainbow Media nets AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel and WE tv, as well as MSG’s two regional sports networks and the music channel.

The commercials will also air online across 24 web sites that are owned by Cablevision.

“Pancreatic cancer is a highly aggressive and lethal disease that needs more attention and we think Cablevision is in a unique position to help,” said Cablevision president and CEO James Dolan. “We will use the strength and breadth of [our] reach to take on this battle in a very public way and to, hopefully, help advance a cause that needs more funding and increased awareness so that someday a cure can be found.”
