Britney Spears will not be performing at this years MTV VMAs
It is being reported that this year, Britney Spears, the queen of pop will not be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Larry Rudolph, manager for Spears has come out and stated that Spears will not be performing for the awards show this year despite her pathetic effort a year ago.
The awards show is scheduled for September 7th and for weeks now, rumors of a Spears performance have been swirling.
Despite not singing at the event, she will be there as her “Piece of Me,” has been nominated for best video of the year.
It faces tough competition from others including; Chris Brown’s “Forever,” Jonas Brothers’ “Burning up,” Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up” and The Ting Tings’ “Shut Up and Let Me Go.”
In a statement, Rudolph said “Contrary to media reports, Britney was never slated to perform on this year’s VMAs. She’s in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio.”
