Wyclef Jean is being sued by the founder of a high price jeweler known as Jacob the Jeweler over claims that he owes more than 300,000 dollars.
According to the lawsuit, the musician purchased a watch and other forms of jewelery and only paid half the tab, meaning that he still owes more than 300k.
He reportedly purchased a Chopard watch worth more than 220,000 dollars, and a diamond Jesus head worth more than 12 grand.
Jacob Arabo, the founder of the jewelery company is actually in jail at this time on charges of lying to federal investigators in connection with an international drug ring.
His company has serviced high priced celebs including 50 Cent, Sean (Diddy) Combs, Eva Longoria and Verne (Mini Me) Troyer.
“Despite Jacob & Co.’s repeated demands for payment, to date, Jean has failed to pay off the outstanding balance,” the suit says.
Reps for Wyclef have not commented on the lawsuit as of yet.
