One fat cat is about to have her 15 minutes of fame, as she will be appearing on television shows including Live with Regis and Kelly and Good Morning America.
The cat was found roming around New Jersey last weekend, and was taken to the Camden County Animal Shelter.
The amazing thing about this cat, is her weight. She tips the scales at 44lbs, only 2lbs short of the world record for the world’s fattest kitty.
The shelter is currently attempting to track down her owners, but if they can not find them the cat, nicknamed “Princess Chunk” will be put up for adoption.
“I’m about to put a leash on her and walk her,” said shelter volunteer Deborah Wright. “She could pass for a dog!”
The world’s largest cat hailed from Australia and lived back in the 80′s, weighing in at 46 pounds, 15 ounces.
