Kicking off Shark Week on the Discovery channel, tonight is an episode featuring Mythbusters.
The show will feature Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman discussing various myths pertaining to the water creatures, and will also go as far as building their own robo-shark.
Mythbusters is a very popular show as it features the hosts debunking various myths that have popped up over the years pertaining to all sorts of different things.
This is the 21st year that the cable network has devoted an entire week to special shark shows, and network officials have many other fun shows planned for the week.
Other shark specials that can be seen this week include; “Day of the Shark,” “How Not to Become Shark Bait,” “Mysteries of the Shark Coast” and more.
“It’s a summertime ritual. People are endlessly fascinated by sharks,” Discovery president John Ford says. “There’s a lot of variety, they’re fascinating creatures and also they scare us.”
Millions of viewers tune in each year for the fascinating look into one of the world’s most scarey creatures. Last year more than 4 million viewers tuned in for the premier show.
