Many people are now wondering if Anne Hathaway ratted out her ex boyfriend Raffaello Follieri to the FBI, relating to fraud.
Hathaway broke up with Follieri just last week, and to make his week just that much worse, he was then arrested by police in connection with a major con job.
He is now in jail on charges of conning investors, posing as a member of the Vatican and attempting to sell not wanted Catholic property at reduced prices.
“I think that in return for her cooperation, the feds held off on arresting Follieri until she was out of the country,” said an unnamed friend of Follieri.
He faces wire fraud and money laundering charges, and if convicted could spend up to 20 years in the slammer.
He is currently in jail on 21 million dollars bail.
