ABC’s latest show called Wipeout has resulted in the most viewers for a new show since the network’s 2005 debut of Brat Camp.

According to Nielsen Media data more than 10 million viewers tuned in for the debut of the show, that outranked its second premier of I Survived A Japanese Game Show that aired after Wipeout.

The Wipeout theme is to navigate an impossible obsticle course as fast as one can without the inevitable wipeout.

“‘It’s America’s Funniest Home Videos” meets “Fear Factor”. We create the moments rather than waiting for someone to slip and fall,” said “Wipeout” executive producer Matt Kunitz.

Contestants are timed to see who can finish the Wipeout course the quickest, with cash prizes being awarded.

NBC’s “Celebrity Family Feud” also aired last night, and drew an estimated 9 million viewers.
