A Los Angeles hospital employee has been indicted for snooping into the medical files of celebrities.

49-year-old Lawanda Jackson is in a lot of hot water and is believed to have been responsible for selling confidential medical information on famous celebrities to a media outlet.

The names of the celebrities whose medical information was believed to have been sold have been withheld.

The media outlet, who has not been revealed apparently paid her more than 4,500 dollars for medical information and to cover it up, the outlet paid her by writing cheques to her husband.

Prosecutors say Jackson faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

It is not sure if her husband will also be charged due to him cashing cheques on her behalf.
