Up and coming music star Jordin Sparks has been forced to cancil shows due to a vocal cord condition that has rendered her unable to sing.
According to a doctor, Sparks, American Idol winner must stop singing for now if she hopes to protect her voice following an acute vocal cord hemorrhage.
If she does not follow doctor’s orders she could be at risk of permanent vocal cord damage, thus she has canciled performances for the month of April.
“All of her April activities have been postponed or canceled so she can take care of her voice properly,” 19/Jive Records spokeswoman Wendy Washington was quoted by The Associated Press as saying.
She is expected to make a full recovery and will be back at it some time in May.
