Guns N’ Roses front man Axl Rose is being hit up by the soft drink company Doctor Pepper who are urging him to release the band’s latest album that has been more than a decade in the making.
The company states that if the album entitled “Chinese Democracy” is released at any point in the year 2008, they will give a free can of Dr Pepper to everybody in America.
Rose, who is honored to be the subject of the DR Pepper plea says that although the band is very surprised by the endorsement by Dr Pepper the ploy will not work.
The album was supposed to be released last year, until the release was canciled for an unknown reason.
The album would be the first released by the now newly formed band since the early 90′s and according to reports, cost Rose $13 million in recording fees.
