It is being reported that a federal judge has given former US Senator John Ford 60 days to report to prison to begin serving a five-and-1-half year sentence for bribery.

He was convicted back in April of accepting bribes as part of an under cover FBI Sting called Operation Tennessee Waltz. The judge had however delayed his sentencing due to there being nobody to look after the judge’s children due to their mother being locked up.

He is convicted of taking more than 50,000 dollars from an FBI fictitious company called Ecycle, and in exchange told the company he would pass legislation that solely benefited them.

Ford who is now 65 years old, will not be released from prison until after his 70th birthday. He will start serving his time this April.
