It is now being reported that two doctors are under investigation by US authorities regarding the death of Ausi actor Heath Ledger.
Ledger passed away back on January 22 after taking an accidental overdose of prescription medication. He was only 28 years old.
Oxycontin and Vicodin were two of the drugs found in his system, and it is believed that a doctor in California and another in Texas provided him with the drugs.
“It’s an ongoing investigation,” a law enforcement source says. “It’s not clear if there was any wrongdoing.”
Authorities are trying to figure out if the drugs were given to Ledger by the doctors without a prescription, which would make it illegal.
“We are investigating doctors in Los Angeles and Texas with regard to Ledger’s prescriptions,” a source told People.
