As SpongeBob prepared for tonights Kids Choice Awards, he admited that he was very nervous when it comes to speaking in front of so many little tikes.
“I don’t get nervous very often over voiceover gigs,” says SquarePants, who is lesser known to audiences as Tom Kenny, Hollywood’s Man of a Thousand Voices.
“But, man, a screaming, live broadcast that goes on across the country, where any flub or mistake you make is instantly beamed into people’s living rooms and there’s no do overs. It’s one of the most stressful – but fun – jobs I do in the course of a year.”
When it comes to actual awards, Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, and Eddie Murphy all claimed hardware. Even American Idol won an award for best reality show.
Cyrus also performed at the event, singing one of her hits entitled Girls Night Out.
The evening had a Nickelodeon theme, one that was a big hit with both stars and fans alike.
“I love Nickelodeon! I wore green today in honor of the slime,” Jessica Alba said. “I love making movies for you all.”
