The CBS network has gotten off to a great start this fall, and for the second week in a row has captured top spot when it comes to prime time viewership
The CBS network has gotten off to a great start this fall, and for the second week in a row has captured top spot when it comes to prime time viewership.

For the week, CBS averaged more than 11 million viewers a night, followed by ABC with 9.6 million, Fox with 7 mill, and NBC with 7 mill.

According to stat tracking company Nielsen Media Research CBS had 5 of the top 10 most watched TV shows for the week, no bigger than the 9th season debut of CSI.

For the season opener of Crime Scene Investigation, more than 23 million viewers tuned in to watch, surpassing ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“Life on Mars” is a new series playing on ABC, and was a hit attracting more than 11 million viewers, running neck and neck with CBS’s new “Eleventh Hour.”
