FDA Says LabCorp Is Illegally Marketing Their Ovarian Cancer Test

The FDA has stated that LabCorp is marketing their ovarian cancer test illegally due to it not being approved for use in the United States.
OvaSure is the name of the test manufactured by the company that does not have the stamp of approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
LabCorp begun marketing the blood test in June of this year, saying that it could detect early signs of ovarian cancer.
A letter sent from the FDA to LabCorp spells out the fact that their marketing of their ovarian cancer test is illegal and action will be taken against them if they do not hault this practice immediately.
“Because you do not have marketing clearance or approval from the FDA, marketing OvaSure is in violation of the law,” reads the letter.
In a response to the letter sent to the company, LabCorp spokesman Eric Lindblom said: “We are currently in discussions with the FDA over the next steps and of course we share the FDA’s determination to assure patients are protected.”
Ovarian cancer is one of the more lethal forms of the disease, and it is estimated that this year in the US more than 21,000 new cases will be diagnosed.

This is an issue about the FDA not wanting people bypassing their controlled tests. You know, everyone gets tested by labcorp but labcorp never finds anything wrong because they make more money if they don’t actually test your samples. The FDA doesn’t want people taking their health into their own hands, they want people to be forced to trust controlled companies whom has only one agenda of making money off you even if it kills you.
