Unlocked iPhone Being Sold In Hong Kong

Apple have begun to sell unlocked iPhones in Hong Kong, making it easier for millions of cell phone users to acquire their favorit phone.
The company decided to begin selling the unlocked iPhones due to overwhelming support from the public.
The iPhones can be purchased directly from Apple’s web site, and work with all of Hong Kong’s phone carriers.
A statement on the web site reads: “iPhone 3G purchased at the Apple Online Store can be activated with any wireless carrier. Simply insert the SIM from your current phone into iPhone 3G and connect to iTunes 8 to complete activation.”
The price of the phone is rather high but remember, it is the unlocked version.
The unlocked 8GB model is priced at HK $5,400 (roughly US$700).
Also, Apple has confirmed that the iPhone will be coming to Russia in the near future and that they have already signed distribution deals with Russian carriers.
