Boxer Shane Mosley won an impressive bout last night as he knocked the lights out on opponent Ricardo Mayorga.
The fight went 1 second shy of the 12 rounds it was scheduled for before Mosley took Mayorga out with a serious left hook to the head.
Up until the devistating 12th round, the judges had the fight pretty close, with less than 2 points separating the 2 opponents.
“I wanted a knockout,” Pomona’s Mosley said. “I wanted to give the fans what they deserve.”
He did just that, knocking Mayorga down twice in the last round, the last one proving to be the winning punch.
“I will tell you one thing,” Mayorga said after the fight. “he hit harder than I thought
he would.”
