It is being reported that famous record producer Jerry Wexler has died at the age of 91 from congestive heart failure
It is being reported that famous record producer Jerry Wexler has died at the age of 91 from congestive heart failure.

He died over the weekend at his home in Sarasota, Florida with friends and family by his side.

He will long be remembered for his musical producing talents, ones that saw him kickstart the careers of legends in the music business including Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin.

He was also very instrumental in the creation of soul music, working with black music artists in the 50’s and 60’s.

Other notable artists he worked with throughout his famous career include Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, Dire Straits and George Michael.
