The first two human cases of west nile have been diagnosed in Orange County California.

Last year, Orange County documented 10 human cases of the virus, which is transferred to humans via mosquito bites.

The identity of the men is being withheld due to confidentiality reasons, however they are both said to be showing no symptoms of the virus.

The diagnosis of the virus was made after the men donated blood to a blood bank.

This is the third case to be reported in California this year, as last month a woman from Tulare County tested positive for it.
