Twins Top Scale At 23lbs In North Carolina
June 23rd, 2008 | by admin |
It is being reported that a pair of twins born at a hospital in North Carolina tipped the scales at a combined weight of 23 pounds and 1 ounce.
The twins, Sean William Maynard and Abigail Rose Maynard were born to proud parents Joey and Erin Maynard via c-section.
Sean was the smaller baby, weighing in at 10 pounds, 14 ounces while his sister topped the scales at 12 pounds, 3 ounces.
The babies were born at the Sara Lee Center for Women’s Health in Winston-Salem, and were born 2 minutes apart.
Believe it or not, the combined weight of these twins does not equal the largest twins ever born in America. Back in 1927, a set of twins were born in Arkansas that were more than 4lbs heavier.

I give this woman all the credit in the world. One of those would be a large baby, let alone 2!!!
