The rock group REM is back and badder than ever, currently touring to promote their new album entitled Accelerate.
On Thursday, the band rocked out at the Hollywood Bowl, and from all accounts, they have regained their flare that to many has been lacking for more than a decade.
They are touring all over the US this summer, along with openers Modest Mouse and the National.
Their new album has 12 tracks on it, with 9 of them being featured on their concert song list. The album is only 35 minutes long and is pure rock!
Following Thursday’s performance the band headed off to California for a sold out show at the University of California’s Greek Theatre in Berkeley where they performed 27 songs.
“Tonight’s your night,” Stipe said to the crowd early in the show. “I’m happy to be here to share it with you.”
