After winning American Idol, David Cook has jumped to the top of the Itunes charts with his single called The Time Of My life.
Many did not predict Cook to beat out David Archuleta but as it turns out, he beat him by more than 12 million votes.
The other three songs Cook sang during the final of American Idol are not far behind on the chart and people are already counting down the days until his first album is released.
“It’ll probably be a rock record. I just want to make a record that’s going to make the hair on your neck stand up,” said Cook. “Even if it doesn’t do well commercially, as long as I can put out a record I am proud of — that’s the goal right now. And hopefully the success will follow.”
On his first album, cook hopes to include some of his own written work but says that he would not mind performing work written for him by others.
DAVID COOK’s voice is more soothing and mesmeriizng despite the energy and powerful vocals. It is clearer and more powerful than all the rest as he did with Music of the Night. A rocker most of the time but definitely a versatile. It’s magical when he sings. DAVID COOK, a role model in artistry, musicality, altruism and good character is a universal phenomenon as the whole world is cheering for his victory. CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA!
Chalk it up to “MATURITY”….and that is what the judges did undoubtebly decide in the final rounds..(I would have chosen this route as well)….not that this is always the answer, I do believe they made the right choice in this situation, and I ‘bravo’ them for the great respect/admiration they showed David A…he was ontop of the world!…as he should be…17 yrs. old…he’s lived an entire lifetime in this arena..it’s the life he knows and lives….He will continue his journey as such, although on a much higher note now…
David C….I recall watching earlier in the making and picked up on the talent…but recall thinking ‘this kid needs a makeover’….kinda reminds me of some of my members here…I was really thrilled to watch David C via net recently from beginning to end…WOW…he just improved so quickly via ea performance…it was awesome…I just loved watching this transition…and waiting for the next one to develop….
David Cook is truly amazing. He pulls you in with his voice, passion and emotion. Everyone that I know is on the edge of their chairs waiting for him to release his first post AI album. Bravo David. You are a true champion. Your admiration and consideration for David A was refreshing to see. And, the way you responded to the judges each week was admirable. You are everything an American Idol should be and more. I wish you unlimited success. You truly deserve to have the world hear your music. I haven’t been this excited about a performer since I was a kid. Rock on!!
