During her elaborate wedding that was held last night, Ashlee Simpson confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with her first child. The father is her new husband Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.
For weeks now it has been rumored that she was pregnant, but last night she put the rumors to bed officially by announcing that she is expecting.
At her wedding yesterday, Simpson walked down the isle wearing a beautiful ivory gown by Monique Lhuillier.
“We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” a spokesperson for the couple was quoted by People.com as saying.
Sister Jessica was also at the wedding with date Tony Romo. Many are stating that they are actually no longer an item but concrete proof of this rumor is not currently available.
The reception after the wedding was quite an event, featuring an “Alice in Wonderland” theme complete with white tents, black rugs, white couches with red pillows, black chandeliers and lots of red roses.
