After poor ratings and ticket sales from opening night, the new Broadway musical Glory Days has been canceled.

The musical has an interesting theme, based on 4 friends who meet up a year after graduating from high school only to find just how much they’ve grown apart.

“Sadly, given the overnight reviews and our low advance sales, we believe it is prudent to close the show on Broadway immediately,” producers John O’Boyle and Ricky Stevens said in a statement.

Before its official opening, the show had played a total of 17 previews.

It was co-written by actors and first-time authors Nick Blaemire, 23, and James Gardiner, 24.

Before landing on Broadway, Glory Days played at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Va., where it actually received good reviews.
