
Nine Inch Nails are giving away a new album for free online as a way of saying thank you to all of their fans.
This is the second album to be released on the band’s site for free, and follows the first to be released 2 months ago.
The album which is free from their web site contains 10 new tracks and is entitled The Slip.
The band also stated that for anybody interested in a physical copy of the album that one is forthcoming in the near future.
The band have often criticized the music industry due to the whole downloading of music issue, and once at a live concert urged their fans to download as much as they could.
The digital music field is quickly picking up steam as artists begin to realize that fans are spending more and more time online.
Recently, Coldplay announced plans to release songs for free online from their upcoming album, and even Metallica have hinted of a digital future.
