Nickleback Singer Banned From Driving Following DUI Conviction

Nickelback front man Chad Kroeger has been convicted on a drunk driving charge by a judge in the Canadian province of Vancouver.
Chad was fined $600 Canadian, and has been banned from getting behind the wheel of a car for a 1 year period after being pulled over back in June of 2006 and blowing nearly double the legal blood alcohol limit.
According to his lawyer, they are planning to appeal the decision. After the ruling, Chad stated: “everyone makes mistakes.”
The basis of their appeal will be the assertion that the police violated Kroeger’s rights when they took the breath test.
“Don’t drink and drive,” Kroeger told Canadian Press outside the courtroom after he was sentenced. “I don’t condone drinking and driving. I don’t think
you should do it.”
