It has been reported that Skype has unvailed a new unlimited long distance calling plan for as little as $2.95 per month for people in Canada and the United States.

The company which is owned by auction giant Ebay is one of the world’s most well known internet calling companies. Their new long distance plan will be however available for those people who do not have a computer.

Skype allows users to call people using their computer, and generally requires both participants of a conversation to own a computer or at least be using an internet connection.

This new service will however allow people to call another person’s land line or cell phone.

The company also announced that a similar unlimited long distance plan would be established for up to 34 other countries for a price of $9.95 per month.

Skype subscribers used 1.7 billion minutes for the first three months of 2008.
