Tesla Motors, the so called Silicon Valley maker of electric sports cars, filed a suit in San Mateo Superior Court on Monday against a competing company and two of its employees one of which is Henrick Fisker, contending that they stole some of Tesla’s design ideas and trade secrets.

Henrik Fisker, a Danish-born designer who is known for his work on high-end exotic sports cars, was hired by Tesla to do the body design for a four-seat sedan, code-named White Star.

The suit asserts that Henrik Fisker and Bernhard Koehler which do business under the name Fisker Coachbuild, fraudulently built to take the Tesla’s $875,000 design contract to gain access to confidential design and trade secrets of Tesla then announced the same to the competing vehicle.

Fisker founded Fisker Automotive which started last fall. the Fisker Automotive is backed by the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
